●脚の骨折で入院してから祖母の体力はがたがたっと落ちた. After she went into the hospital with a broken leg, my grandmother was drained of all her strength.

・成績もがたがたと悪くなっていった. My grades plummeted.

・一つ悪くなるとがたがたと全部悪くなる. When one goes bad, all of a sudden they all go bad.
